2012 Gallery

The 2012 Sidney Fine Art Show, October 12 – 14th was another great success! We would like to thank our artists, volunteers, patrons and sponsors – the show would not happen without you. What an amazing, vibrant and supportive community we live in!

After the flurry of activity over 3 great days, the Sidney Fine Art show is over for another year, and as always the planning for 2013 has already begun. It is never too soon to become involved in the show. Each year tasks undertaken by hundreds of volunteers involve art intake, adjudication, hanging and presenting the show. If you are interested in joining the team please complete the sign-up form under the volunteer tab, or e-mail[email protected] for more information.

The Sidney Fine Art Show gala opening celebration was a night to remember!  After Sponsors and Patrons had a chance to preview the show, they, the artists and other invited guests were treated to an inspiring talk by Canadian artist, environmentalist and naturalist Robert Bateman.  Beginning with a quote from Willa Cather’s The Song of the Lark, Mr. Bateman generously shared his philosophy and thoughts on art.    The awards ceremony followed and then sculptor Craig Arthur Benson spoke about the history of Sidney Fine Art Show over the ten years since its inception in 2003.
