Call to Artists

The 15th Annual Sidney Fine Art Show, presented by the Community Arts Council of the Saanich Peninsula will be held at the Mary Winspear Centre, October 13 – 15, 2017.

This is a juried show. The Sidney Fine Art Show is known for the exceptional quality of the original art displayed each year. Selection is based on excellence, creativity, originality and technical achievement with an emphasis on artistic accomplishment. Cash prizes will be awarded for Best in Show; Best Work Under Glass; Best Work on Board or Canvas; Best 3-Dimensional; Best Photograph/Digital Media; Best Work Master’s Category; the Colin Graham award for Innovation; and Juror and Peoples’ Choice awards. All awards will be presented at the Show Preview for artists and invited guests, Thursday, October 12th. ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL 3:00 PM ON JULY 14, 2017.

Pick-up works from adjudication Wednesday September 13, 12 noon -4 pm
Show artwork drop-off Tuesday October 10, 9 am-2 pm
Show preview evening Thursday October 12
Show dates Friday October 13 – Sunday October 15
Unsold artwork pick-up Sunday October 16, 5:30-7:30 pm

Display Fee: AFTER ADJUDICATION, artists whose work is accepted into the Show will be required to pay $37.00 per piece. All fees go to the Show’s production costs. Artists are charged a 20% commission on art sales, which includes all transaction fees.
